Did you know that someone from the Mindful team attends every launch of our Online and On Campus courses and apprenticeships? As you might expect, this makes September the busiest month of our year, and it’s a great opportunity to meet students and help our college partners ensure learners get off to a great start in their studies.
This September’s Online and On Campus course inductions kicked off last week, and it was certainly eventful, with the launch of 21 Online and On Campus courses across 11 partner colleges, meeting our 1000th student, and even breaking a Mindful record. Read on for a full account of induction season 2019-2020 so far:
On Monday 9 September, we were at Harlow College to welcome learners on to their level 3 course in accounting. At 53 students, this was a larger group than usual but we welcomed the challenge, with four members of the Mindful team on hand to help out. It was great to see new students enrolling onto the course right up until the day of the induction – which meant a last-minute stationery order to ensure that everyone walked away with an induction pack full of Mindful goodies! While at Harlow, we also had the pleasure of meeting Gina – the 1000th person to study using our Online and On Campus method. Here she is with Mindful Education’s Managing Director Mark McKenna, and Dario Alvarez – our Director of Operations.
On Tuesday, we beat our own record by carrying out the most induction sessions in one day. The Mindful team was scattered across the UK at our partners Guildford College, Stoke-on-Trent College, Farnborough College and the College of North West London, welcoming a total of 117 learners on to their courses. We were also at Suffolk New College, Abingdon & Witney College and New City College, bringing the total number of new Online and On Campus students to over 300.
This week is set to be our busiest yet – so watch this space for more updates!
