Apprenticeships Work

During the Summer Economic Update in July, Rishi Sunak, Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced the launch of an incentive scheme which will reward businesses for recruiting new apprentices.

Under this new scheme, small to medium sized businesses will receive up to £2,000 for each new apprentice they recruit until 31st March 2021. This funding is in addition to the usual apprenticeship funding arrangements.

To explain why the new ‘Plan for Jobs’ was to be launched, Rishi Sunak said: “To give young people a better start. To give people everywhere the opportunity of a fresh start.”

At Mindful Education we believe there has never been a better opportunity for the government, employers and the education sector to work together to offer meaningful opportunities to young people and boost businesses across the UK.

Following the Chancellor’s announcement, we are launching a campaign, together with our college partners, to highlight the benefits of apprenticeships to encourage employers to consider recruiting an apprentice now.

If you are an employer and would like to take advantage of the new apprenticeship incentive, then please get in touch by emailing:
