Study tips – the pomodoro method
Studying is hard, but achieving the right work-life-study balance is the real challenge. At Mindful Education we frequently suggest study tips to help learners get the most out of their studies. We wanted to delve a little deeper into one of our favourites tips, the Pomodoro Method:
This technique helps learners achieve the perfect balance between work and rest. It divides learning into 25 minute work periods followed by a 5 minute break, each of these sets is called a Pomodoro – named after the tomato shaped timer originally used to test this method. After 4 Pomodoros, the learner should take an extended break of 15-30 Minutes.

- Reduces procrastination
- Prevents mental exhaustion
- Removes the dread of certain tasks
- Improves time management

Finally, the ‘study at Hogwarts’ pomodoro theme is hugely popular, and allows learners study in the famous fictional library and classrooms.
