In our new blog series, we will be shining a spotlight on college marketing teams from across our network of partners. We’ll be finding out a bit more about them and their work, and their experiences of working with the Mindful Education marketing team.

In this blog, we speak to Jane Puttock (pictured below, centre), Marketing Officer at South Essex Colleges Group.

What do you consider to be the top three highlights of your job?

For me, the top highlight of my job would be variety, as every day can be different. Followed by working with a supportive and knowledgeable team, and also being able to be a part of the student journey from the start.

What is the most interesting marketing activity or project that you’ve worked on recently?

I’ve worked on lots of interesting projects recently, including the promotion of Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) and also experimenting with platforms such as Performance Max and TikTok. The social media and digital landscape is always changing, so it’s interesting to try different tools and platforms.

How has working with the Mindful Education marketing team helped to support your marketing efforts for Online and On Campus courses?

Working with Mindful Education makes us feel very supported as the team goes to great lengths to ensure everyone is well briefed and make things easier by providing all of the necessary resources in a central location, called the Partner Hub which is an excellent resource to help streamline campaign implementation. It’s very user-friendly, and without a doubt this all helps our marketing team to deliver the best campaign with the best outcomes.

Which aspects of the marketing materials or advertising support have been most valuable to your team?

Knowing that we can use the Partner Hub as a central, easily accessible resource  which contains everything needed to implement an impactful campaign. This really lowers stress levels and gives us the best chance of delivering on time, with the best campaign outcomes. Also, when we are juggling multiple campaigns, having a central resource is a real time saver.

How would you describe the support of the Mindful Education marketing team?

The support we get from the Mindful Education marketing team is like having an extended marketing team who work alongside you, and a support team when you need them. It’s always a pleasure working with Mindful Education.
