On 13-14 May 2026, Mindful Education will exhibit at the FD Show at Accountex London to showcase our award-winning blended learning accounting courses and apprenticeships.

What is Accountex?

Accountex is a well-established event that welcomes thousands of accounting professionals to discuss industry innovations, new solutions and best practices. This year, it will also host the FD Show, designed to provide a dedicated space for industry leaders and senior finance professionals.

The FD Show is tailored for Finance Directors and decision-makers, featuring:

  • Two dedicated theatres with expert-led sessions
  • A curated mix of leading finance solutions
  • Opportunities to explore emerging trends and innovations

Held at the ExCel London on 13-14 May 2026, Accountex and the FD Show are free to attend.

Why learning & development should be on every Finance Director’s agenda

Accountex is known for its software solutions and digital tools, but the FD show will give delegates the opportunity to explore how talent and technology can combine to build skilled, adaptable finance teams.

For Finance Directors, investing in learning and development is key to:

  • Operational excellence: improving efficiency and accuracy
  • Future-proofing: ensuring teams have the skills they need to navigate digital accounting and shifting regulatory landscapes
  • Succession planning: investing in your team builds an internal talent pipeline and avoids recruitment costs

How Mindful Education supports senior finance teams

At Mindful Education, we produce flexible, award-winning, blended learning courses and apprenticeships that align professional development with your financial calendar.

Our virtual learning environment (VLE) enables learners to study key concepts online, and then attend in-person or virtual classroom sessions with one of our hand-picked delivery partners, who will offer them support and guidance and help them achieve their qualification.

Reduce the impact of off-the-job training

Our blended approach combines structured teaching with flexible, self-directed learning, helping to minimise time away from the desk while still meeting programme requirements. Each cohort of learners works to a unique calendar which is agreed in advance with the employer and training provider, allowing managers to plan in advance and ensure that team members are available during busy periods such as month-end.

Built for real-world accounting careers

All our accounting courses and apprenticeships are accredited by AAT, and available from levels 1 – 4, giving your team a clear and consistent route of progression as their career develops.

At this year’s event, we’ll be showcasing:

  • Our new AAT Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping
  • Updates to the AAT Level 4 Diploma for Professional Accounting Technician, aligned with the latest specification changes

With 24/7 access to our VLE, many learners also use it as a valuable resource in the workplace, allowing them to check technical terms and procedures when carrying out their day-to-day tasks.

“Apprenticeships add real value and strength to the team. It helps us support those individuals develop, and grow in their careers. We're a learning organisation, and this is at the heart of what we do and we fundamentally believe in apprenticeships and the value they can add to our workforce.”

Steve Orton, Chief Finance and Operations Officer at Discovery Trust

Using the growth and skills levy to maximise investment

For many organisations, cost is a key factor when investing in training. Apprenticeships funded through your growth and skills levy payments (which replaced the apprenticeship levy in April 2026) provide cost-effective training for your team.
Recent changes to government policy that have removed funding for most higher-level apprenticeships mean that employers and managers are focusing their talent strategy on lower and mid-level apprenticeships. You can read more about this change in our long read: Apprenticeship funding changes: a strategic guide for employers

All Mindful Education’s accounting apprenticeships can be funded using the growth and skills levy.

For every unit, on every AAT qualification we deliver, average results achieved by Mindful Education learners were above AAT’s published worldwide averages – making your return on investment even more valuable.
