The increasing role of education technology within Ofsted inspections

Mindful Education’s Managing Director, Mark McKenna will be joined by a panel of leaders from across the sector to deliver a workshop which explores the increasing role of education technology within Ofsted inspections.
The session will present our own analysis on how regularly Ofsted report on the use of education technology and digital skills. We will also consider the essential role of technology within adult learning and apprenticeships delivery, with a particular focus on driving inclusion and supporting ESOL learners.
Key insights for attendees will include the importance of a holistic approach to the use of technology and artificial intelligence, alongside an examination of the new Ofsted inspection framework through the lens of education technology and digital skills.

We are pleased to launch our new thought piece, The increasing role of education technology within Ofsted inspections, at this year’s ATC, designed as a companion piece for our workshop of the same name.
Featuring additional insight from college leaders, and our own learner survey data, the piece explores our analysis of 2024-25 Ofsted reports and the reporting of education technology. In particular, it considers how education technology can deliver systematic inclusion for colleges and training providers.
