New courses for 2026-27
The 2026-27 academic year sees significant changes to some AAT and CMI specifications, plus new additions to Mindful Education’s course and apprenticeship portfolio.
Preparing for updated specifications
When awarding organisations make updates to course specifications, we update our virtual learning environments (VLEs) so that learners and tutors always have access to up-to-date information and materials.
Preparing for new course specifications can be arduous and time consuming for delivery teams. Mindful Education does this work so you don’t have to, so our partners can save time and remove some of the risk that comes with teaching new qualifications.
Accounting
AAT Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping (Online and On Campus) | New course
We’re pleased to offer this course as a new addition to our portfolio from September 2026. Mindful Education now offers the full suite of funded AAT courses from Level 1 to Level 4. Our brand new VLE will be available to demo from 19 March 2026.
AAT Level 4 Diploma for Professional Accounting Technicians (Online and On Campus) | Updated course
The updated AAT specification will replace the existing Level 4 course from 1 August 2026. There are no optional units in the new specification and all five of the new compulsory units will be available within the Mindful Education VLE, with learner access from September 2026. Our brand new VLE will be available to demo from 19 March 2026.
Management and business
Administration Assistant Apprenticeship – Level 2 (Online and On Campus) | New course
The proposal for this apprenticeship has been approved by Skills England and it is currently in development. This new offer from Mindful Education will complement our existing Business Administrator Apprenticeship at Level 3. We’ve completed the initial mapping of the draft apprenticeship and we’re awaiting further updates from Skills England following the transfer of the apprenticeships skills brief to DWP in autumn 2025
CMI Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management and Leadership (Online and On Campus) | Updated course
The updated CMI specification will be the only funded CMI Level 3 course from August 2026. The professional qualification is also available as an option when studying the Team Leader Apprenticeship with Mindful Education, with the course available to learners from September 2026. Our brand new VLE will be available to demo from 2 March 2026.
