Celebrating creativity
Every December, Mindful Education’s creative team produces the company’s annual animated Christmas card. This is not only a celebration of the festive season, but also the talents of the designers who, for the rest of the year, channel their skills into bringing our courses to life through graphic design and motion graphics.
With 2025 marking Mindful Education’s 10th birthday, we’ve delved into the archives to look back at cards from previous years and the way that the creative direction of each one has evolved to tell our story.
The early years
Our early cards explored various artistic styles, colours and shapes to tell a story – synonymous with Mindful Education in its early days: a spirited EdTech start-up, experimenting with our creative direction.
2018
This was our first animated Christmas card – a collaborative project for our creative team which told the story of a group of animals decorating the forest for Christmas.
2019
In 2019, we took a central concept – a roaring fire – and asked each of our motion graphics and graphic designers to add their own interpretation of the festive season around it. It celebrates the diverse range of talents and imagination we have in the Mindful Education creative team!
2020
After a challenging year, the 2020 Christmas card looked back at some of the lighter moments of the pandemic – with a festive twist.
2021
In 2021, viewers joined one of Mindful Education’s illustrated characters, Mindy on a journey to deliver a gift. This card used textured imagery to give a homemade feel that is often synonymous with Christmas crafts.
2022
Featuring classic Christmas themes in our trademark illustrative style, this year took the concept of a traditional printed card, brought to life with animation.
Mindful Education evolves
In October 2023, we underwent a full rebrand to reflect who we have become: an established market leader, with an abundance of energy, expertise, care and good humour. This process included a redesigned logo, new illustrated characters, a 3D ribbon motif, updated colours, and a refined tone of voice.
The rebrand directly influenced how their Christmas cards looked from 2023 onward, with the new brand elements giving our Christmas cards a distinctive, modern look that ties in to the company’s identity.
2023
Inspired by our new brand, the 2023 card reimagined the ribbon motif as a Christmas tree.
2024
The Christmas tree remained a central theme for 2024, around which the festive season was celebrated with food, gifts and friends.
2025
This year we took the opportunity to add a new character to the Mindful Education illustrated family – Father Christmas’s loveable sidekick, Reginald the Reindeer!
